This is an old picture but it still makes me laugh. This is Danny about 7 years old. He's not a morning person and this is him after getting up for school.
He'll rise but he won't shine...The Wright stuff

He is thoughtful of others..
Sam comes home from school yesterday with a mothers day gift that I have to wait until sunday to see. Hah!!! I don't like to wait, so yes, I did manage to break him. He wasn't to hard. I told him to just let me have a peek, he pulled out the whole gift and I oohed and aaahed. My powers make me giddy!! I know it doesn't last long so I will exploit it as long as I can.
He also asked when will it be kid's day. I explained that christmas and birthdays were kids day.
Then with the sweetest little voice he said "Mom, when it's old peoples day let's take grandma, your mom and grandma with the yellow hair out to eat, they will like that".
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha

He's 13 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You will never,EVER be one step ahead of your teenager. BUT if you can manage to stay at least 2 or 3 steps behind them,....and they know you're back there......then you have a fighting chance.
Sigghhh, I love you Josh. I'm not ready for the rollercoaster ride so be kind to Mom. Please...
happy birthday

She's really really old....
My Welita is 90.
There's lots I can say about her, good and bad. But what I know is that she loves us. All of us.
I'm glad to see she is still fairly healthy. In fact she's never home, still likes gardening and is still as feisty as ever.
I tell Larry I know I will be feisty like her. It's a genetic thing. I can't help myself.
May God bless her with many more years, health and happiness.
Here she is with just a few of the great grandkids. There are still many many more missing. There are even great great grandkids missing.
Happy Birthday Welita

The devil dog
Soldier Boy
This years costume. He had a bag full after hitting up almost every house that had a light on. His evil dad made him play on peoples emotions. He had Sam go up to the door and say "trick or treat, support our troops". Most people threw in a few extra candies.
No costume for Josh. I told him he was to old to trick or treat. He didn't argue about it, he spent the night skating around the neighborhood with his friends. Tita thought I was wrong for not letting him trick or treat. I understand she still sees him as a baby. haha. I just didn't want him to be one of those kids that I complain about. The kids who are probably old enough to get jobs after school and pay for as much candy as they want. Then there are the kids who aren't even dressed. Oh and my favorite, the people who show up with babies in strollers. The babies aren't even walking yet and the parent comes up to the door with the halloween bag. I always want to ask "does that baby even have teeth, are you really going to let them eat candy?"
Come on people, halloween is for the children and the witches like me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey mom, remember when you would take us to the "rich" neighborhoods to trick or treat.
